Benefits of Abacus
My child has made significant progress after learning the abacus. I can appreciate the advantages of the abacus as a parent and hope to pass them on to other children.
VISUALIZATION
Learning Abacus improves one’s ability to visualize. Visualization is a by-product of the functioning of the right brain. This indicates that the Abacus enhances the right side of the brain by incorporating the ability to visualize images.
SPEED
By moving the beads that catch their attention, the abacus allows children to solve problems using an instrument rather than a piece of paper. They listen, visualize, calculate, and solve the sum in a split second. A high level of concentration and a thorough understanding of the concept is required for all of this.
LISTENING SKILLS
Children must pay attention and listen to the sums in order to correctly use the abacus. Their ability to listen has clearly improved as a result.
ACCURACY
Using simple techniques, the Abacus teaches your children to solve math problems quickly and accurately. Because you can’t always carry a calculator with you, an Abacus student is probably able to get the right answer four to five times faster than a calculator student. By manipulating an imagined abacus in their minds, skilled abacus users who have mastered abacus-based mental calculation (AMC) can perform quick and accurate calculations.
BRAIN BOOSTER
Abacus-trained children outperformed controls on IQ tests by about 7 points, according to studies. They also performed better than controls on working memory tasks for visual, auditory, and spatial information.
